I had an extended stay at this lovely hotel right off the Parkway Center Mall exit in Greentree. The employees were so welcoming and friendly upon checking in, and checking out. The hotel is spacious with a modern vibe about it. It has an incredible (and very clean) gym that I really took advantage of and a huge indoor pool. My room was a “suite” on a ground level, which was the only one they had- it was dark and overlooked a cold, snowy parking lot which was strange. The girl at the front desk did offer to move me in the morning if I didn’t like the room which was very nice of her. The toilet was not flushed when I entered and there was tissues in the garbage can in the bathroom- almost like a worker was in there and didn’t flush. I can’t imagine a maid not cleaning the toilets before a new guest checked in! Kitchen was really small but adequate, there was a private bedroom, and living room, and the morning buffet was a great treat. All in all this is a great hotel for the price and it’s just 4 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, even with traffic in the morning, it’s not a bad commute. Highly recommend this hotel.
Reviews and photos do not match. We booked a king room for one night and arrived around 9pm. The front desk staff was very nice but when we got to the room it was dirty. The floors looked like that had not been vacuumed and the shower had hair and crusty stuff on the wall. The floor to the shower was yellow and looked like it had not been scrubbed in a while. When we checked out in the morning I let the man at the front desk know which he was going to speak with the house cleaning management.

Lovely hotel. Very clean rooms. We never walked through the lobby when someone wasn't cleaning. Staff was friendly all around. Quiet. Continental breakfast with many options and also attached to a tavern. Elevator and ramp. Its right off the highway and very close to the tunnel to the city so its perfectly placed. Our room on the 8th floor actually had a view of the skyline.
The hotel is in an older building, but has many upgrades which are very nice. The rooms are comfortable and pretty large for a hotel room. The entrance and lobby is very very nice as well as the gym and pool area.
Holiday inn express always do a great job. The beds, shower and breakfast worth it. Love that they include toiletries. Everyone is very nice and helpful. Go out of their way. Free parking! 15 min easy drive to Pitt and it took us less than 10 mins to get to the stadiums. We liked that it was out of the way. Plenty of stores and food close. Giant eagle very close.
