The location, service and overall experience is what gets stars, the lack of cleanliness and having to pay (daily) for parking is the reason for lack of stars. Parking is $28.99 daily, with no notice of this requirement until you arrive, and no voucher or discount given by the Inn. Apparently they "don't own the lot", though it's literally attached to it. They had no other suggestions for parking either. They do not clean the rooms. "Cleaning" is putting out fresh toiletries, towels and changing the sheets. There was hair everywhere in the bathroom, dust EVERYWHERE in the room, the carpet & shower floor is gross (bring flip flops or shower shoes) and there were items left behind from others under the bed & side tables. The bed is very loud & creaky, but not necessarily uncomfortable. That being said, the kitchen and downstairs areas appear to get cleaned properly. The layout of the house, the artifacts & general history of the home is a cool experience. Feels like staying in a museum. The individuals providing service were friendly.
We have been wanting to stay here for a long time and are so happy to have finally made it. The Inn is beautiful throughout and our room , including the bathroom ,was amazing. The location is great and Denise's hospitality made our stay even better. We will be back!

The Inn at 97 Winder is nice BUT there are some very odd things going on here. They don’t own the lot? That seems like a lie as the lot attendant was inside enjoying lunch when I showed up. To me it seems like this is a way for them to earn extra income… just include it in your price. Keeping parking in mind, they pack the lot full so when you pay that $28 + $0.99 “convenience fee” you can’t move your car, you’re held hostage. The Inn itself was alright, they have very nice appliances (nothing in the rooms as far as appliances go). Do NOT use their super fancy stove, that’s only for the parking lot attendant. The room was absolutely freezing when we woke up, the shower was missing tiles, etc… I started taking pictures and videos as soon as I walked in as I didn’t want them to charge me for damages that have absolutely been a thing well before my visit. Besides being cold and parking being an absolute joke, because again, “they don’t own the lot”, Danielle was extremely helpful and sweet. If I do visit again it’s purely to see her and get some more cookies.
Wonderful historic house close to sporting events. Reasonable price. Great host. Only thing it needs is shades to block out morning sun.
Stayed here recently with my husband for a game and it was perfect! We were able to park in their lot. They do seem to pack the lot during game days but thankfully we were able to just ask the parking attendant to move the car blocking us in after the game and they moved them to allow us out and even reassured me that we would have a spot available when we returned. The room was gorgeous and very clean, we stayed in room 32 with the cute upstairs seating area. The staff was all kind and friendly, only complaint was the temperature in the room but with it being an older property something had to give. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to stay for a game or concert!!!!
