We had a really lovely two night stay at the Canvas overall! The hotel feels very clean, and the room was nicely spacious. The bed was wonderfully fluffy and comfortable, like a cloud. We loved that we could open the windows for a flow of fresh air. The rooftop bar and infinity pool + firepits with a view are such a gem! The rooftop experience is worth the cost of the stay. Otherwise for the price, things felt appropriate, nothing in excess. The elevators are a little slow, but it’s an older building. Only concern was one of the lobby bathrooms smelt a bit of mildew, but I didn’t feel that concern anywhere else throughout the hotel. The parking lot is a bit small, but the valet staff was kind and accommodating to us as guests. We learned on our last morning that there is complimentary fresh hot coffee in the lobby! Don’t bother using the keurig in your room. I would stay here again!
Wow!! When you talk about service, the Canvas hotel staff is awesome! Their hospitality made us want to stick around and hang out with them! Gina and Logan out did themselves by having such fun, personalities! They make you feel like you been friends forever. The recommendations on food and drinks were on point. They went above and beyond! Gina made me a special drink when I said just surprise me… it was delicious! The rooftop bar is amazing… Logan also made us drinks that we requested and was just happy taking care of us! Management was very personable and friendly! We will definitely be back! Thank you to the team for making our stay pleasurable!

A view you can’t beat. Great place to bring out of town friends to start with a drink and a view of downtown Dallas. Haven’t stayed at this hotel but I definitely should soon for a staycation. The rooftop music was great being back 90’s r&b! 🎉
Hotel was overall great! Roof-Top bar was nice and relaxing. View was great as well. Bed was super comfy and made it hard to get up the next day. Area overall wasn't too bad and the police department is across the street. Staff were super friendly and very helpful! Would stay here again! CONS: Road noise can be a bit cumbersome but isn't all the time. Having concrete floors, any one with boots, heels or scooting a chair, you can hear it the floor below. Self Parking is very limited--which caused us to have to valet park one night. Our vehicle sits low enough that parking off the edge of the road was not feasible without damage.
The rug was very dirty in the room, I recommend steaming them. There seemed to be bodily fluid on it, along with other dirt. The pink lamp was also stained, it look like it was dunked in water and left to dry and mold. The floors seemed to be not clean, since my feet would be black after I took a shower. I would recommend upgrading the cleanliness. It was also very loud since there was no insulation, I did hear they give you free ear plugs and have a machine to try to drown out the noise. The sheets seemed to be fine. Staff were great, they allowed early check in and they were very helpful. I definitely love the vibe and theme. The roof top was really cool too, I can imagine it being fun in the summer.
