A lovely place with amazing people who work here! All was welcoming and friendly from the front desk, housekeeping and restaurant staff. Everyone went out of their way to ensure we had the best experience. With any good staff, they all understand the mission to provide excellent service. Special kudos to Kyle in the restaurant and Joanne at the front desk, the duo are fun to chat with and they both have a lot of knowledge about the city. They let us know all about the festivals and carnival during the summer, sadly they have almost all ended but we will be back multiple times next year.
I loved the full vibe of this hotel. The concept of my Everything person. Joanne checked me in, remembered my name throughout my stay. Brought a birthday friendship bag to my room for my roommate and me celebrating 50 years of friendship and our birthdays. I used the bike my first day… rode to the waterfront park and smelled the roses . Yes SMELLED the roses. Every meal I had at the Kitchen and Bottle was beautiful AND tasted great.

A friend recommended Hotel Rose for our trip to PDX and it did not disappoint. The reusable water bottles are a very nice touch. My fiancé fell in love with the warm, comfy robes. Staff are thoughtful and very helpful, answering all our questions. Just be prepared to find parking on the street or a garage if you arrive on the weekend as it's hopping. We had other friends stay at the same time on our recommendation and they loved it too. Joanne took very good care of us at checkout. She's the best!

From the moment I walked through the doors, the atmosphere was fantastic, the rooms were comfortable, and the location was exactly what I was hoping for. However, what truly made this stay exceptional was the incredible service provided by Joanne at the front desk. First impressions mean everything, and she went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Her incredibly warm, welcoming demeanor and eagerness to help set the perfect tone for my entire trip. Whether she was answering questions, providing local tips, or simply offering a genuine smile, Joanne exemplifies top-tier hospitality. If you are looking for a hotel in Portland that combines a great vibe with a genuinely caring staff, Hotel Rose is the place to be. I visited Portland with a friend and stayed at Hotel Rose. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional to the room. A special thank you to Joanne at the front desk, who truly made our stay memorable. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always happy to answer any questions we had. Her willingness to accommodate our travel plans made our departure day much less stressful and allowed us to enjoy the end of our trip at a comfortable pace. I’d also like to recognize Kennedy who assisted us during checkout. He was welcoming, professional, and genuinely pleasant to talk with, which left us with a great final impression of the hotel. The entire team made us feel valued and well taken care of throughout our stay. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Portland.
