Yesterday I visited STK Steakhouse for Valentine’s Day and had an absolutely amazing time. The special Valentine’s menu was outstanding and made the evening feel extra special. The steak was cooked perfectly, the lobster tail was tender and flavorful, and the King Crab pasta was absolutely delicious. Even the sides impressed us — the asparagus was perfectly grilled and seasoned just right. The appetizers were amazing as well, but my personal favorite was the Caviar Kisses, mini caviar pancakes — such a unique and indulgent bite that really stood out. What truly made the night exceptional was our server, GiGi. She was attentive, warm, and made us feel completely taken care of from start to finish. Her recommendations were spot-on and her service elevated the whole experience. Overall, it was a memorable evening with great food, great service, and a perfect Valentine’s atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it for a special night out! View my Instagram @_mabad for more videos featuring our special Galentine’s Night Out
I hate doing bad reviews, but this one needed to be done. I went to this establishment for a group gathering and happy hour and it’s such a beautiful place. Once I arrived, I learned we was not able to get the room that was reserved, waiting for at least 20 minutes. We ended up being seated at a table. I found it strange that we had a cake (as a prop, not to eat) and had to tell the waiter Jared twice that we were not eating it as they charge to cut a cake. I placed my order and once received, a few fries were ice cold and I informed him. Instead of bringing the 7 fries that I had, he bring a small bowl of fries for the table and didn’t let me know. I didn’t understand why for the table when the table didn’t order fries. I tried to speak with the manager Tomas and explained what happened, and his response was “Yeah, ok, Yeah” and still didn’t fix the situation. I felt disrespected so much I pointed my finger in his face and told him to go away. Another employee, Avery, came to try and make it better, but I informed that I’ve never been at a restaurant and treated this way, and I no longer wanted anything. I will never return.

We visited STK Steakhouse during Queen City Restaurant Week expecting a reasonably priced, curated three-course experience at $55 per person. While the food itself was good and the service was polite and attentive, the overall value fell short of expectations. We did choose a few upgrades (oysters as a starter, filet and wagyu for mains, a side of Yukon gold mashed potatoes, and one cocktail), which we fully expected to increase the bill. However, what was surprising, and disappointing - were several additional charges that were never disclosed by the server. These included a $12 charge for a one-ounce dollop of butter, $6 for peppercorns, and a charge for an oil dip that was served automatically with the complimentary bread. None of these were presented as optional or priced items. As a result, what was intended to be a restaurant-week meal ended up totaling close to $279 after tip for two people, which felt excessive for what was, overall, a fairly light meal. The food was well prepared, but not notably better than other upscale steakhouses nearby (such as Capital Grille or Dean’s), which offer clearer pricing and a more comfortable dining experience. The ambiance was extremely dark, making the menu difficult to read and detracting from the experience. To be clear, the service was friendly and professional. this isn’t a complaint about staff. The issue is transparency and value. Restaurant Week should feel like an accessible introduction to a restaurant, not a surprise premium experience. Good food, good service, but the hidden costs and overall value miss make this a 3-star experience for us.
Overall we had an amazing experience at STK on our visit to Charlotte. The space where we were seated was a bit cramped/small. Our server Zach was very attentive and knowledgeable; he even recommended a local bar for us at the end. We enjoyed the Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, 12 oz Ribeye, Steak Frites, Shrimp Scampi, and Mushroom Pot Pie. However, the Potato Gratin was lacking in taste and presentation. We ended the night with a celebratory cheesecake and photos (courtesy of the hostess).
This is not a steakhouse, go here for good drinks appetizers and great atmospherics, music was realllyyyy good. I ordered a tomahawk steak that cost $130 something dollars to share with my husband for my bday and was extremely disappointed. Steak was cold, dry and not medium rare as ordered. Steak was almost well done and dry as it could be, also ordered mac and cheese that were dried and kind of cold and i love them saucy; the only great things were drinks and the cheesesteak egg rolls. We were shocked to see this place had so many open reservations for a Friday night an unfortunately now understand why; this is a place you go after you have a nice dinner. Unfortunately we spent good amount of $$ for an awful dinner. Our service was GREAT, the server did give us 50% off the steak although should have been totally free. I would have loved to have another one made but it wasn’t offered, and honestly we had kids with us so didn’t feel like waiting for so long again. Our food took about an hour after we ordered to come out, again server did apologize for that. Another thing I dont know if it was just us but for bdays they charge you $20 for a sliver piece of cake!!! So highly recommend skip it unless you just want to splurge in not so great food/treat. Would come back to have just drinks and sit at the bar definitely will not for dinner; save those bucks and have a way better dinner somewhere else! See steak in pic it doesn’t even look appetizing :/
