We have had repeated visits from them for a mini-split issue. The tech said the freon was low & replaced it. The code recurred, so a tech returned, said the freon was low & replaced it. The code recurred, so I contacted them. The tech who came out did not have a ladder to access the interior part of the mini-split, although this should've been known from their recent previous visits, but my husband & I were kind enough to let him borrow ours. He said if the error code recurred, we would need to order a part & have it replaced. I had to make multiple phone calls to follow up on if the part had arrived, part of which included an invoice preview being sent to me that including a $98 "Warranty parts acquisition fee," which I was told by a male employee covered them acquiring it locally in Nashville to expedite it being available. A secretary told me during one of the conversations that if I didn't hear back by "Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, call us back" & that they couldn't pre-schedule, but did not give a reason as to why. I called back the next week, as I still hadn't heard anything. They scheduled an appt for another date at 10a. No one had arrived by 1030, so I called to ensure there wasn't a mixup. The secretary said there was a 10-12 window, but I had not been informed of that. I expressed my frustration over the continued poor communication. I later received a phone call from Vernon saying they wouldn't be able to complete the service. I asked why & he said he "didn't want to do business with [me]" and that the owner "really didn't want to do residential because it didn't pay like commercial." To summarize, Vernon has been aggressive with me on the phone multiple times, finally agreed to drop the $98 fee after I disputed it because the part had been shipped, not acquired locally (and I was told the $98 was to cover gas), & Floyd, the owner, is refusing to return my calls. I just want my mini-split fixed so my infant has appropriate thermoregulation. They also refused to respond to the BBB when a complaint was submitted (tell me you know you’re in the wrong without telling me you know you’re in the wrong). Stay far away!!

Not a great experience with this company. Had a drip with a/c unit in garage. First technician came and the solution was basically "put a bucket under it." Said everything was working and repaired. It was not. Called back and a different technician came. Nice guy but made a terrible mess with the purple plumbing glue all over the wall. Said it was repaired. Still wasn't repaired and still dripping all over the garage floor. Called back and was transferred to the service manager who was hyper-defensive. I stopped at this point and went with a different company. Quality work, dependable outcomes and common courtesy are way too valuable to me.
Our church HVAC went out when the heat index was over 100 degrees. I contacted Dale and explained the situation to him and he understood. We needed a new unit as the old unit was failing. From the first call through the installation they were prompt, courteous and a joy to do business with. I've dealt with many HVAC companies in my private life and professional life and they are the best that I have ever encountered. They say what they are going to do and then do what they said. If you have any HVAC needs, I highly recommend you give them a call.
I highly recommend Cumberland Mechanical HVAC Services! My ac unit went out on the hottest weekend and Tom and Floyd took great care of us! They provided us with portable ac units so we would have cool air while they installed a new ac unit and ductwork. They explained everything from start to finish and also offer several financing packages. Both made the process a breeze and did fantastic work! Thank you so much!
Highly recommend! I had an issue with my home’s HVAC and someone was able to come out the very next morning. The tech (Billy) was super professional, helpful, and easy to work with. He had the system back up and running within a couple hours.
