My son and I stopped here for a brunch before a day of exploring the Arts District and we are so glad we did! This was hands-down the most delicious brunch I've had in a while... and I LOVE brunch. My avocado toast was the best I've ever had, and the croissant sandwich and french also did not disappoint. I'd give the atmosphere 20-stars if I could and the staff was wonderful and attentive. Make some time to come eat here and spend a day exploring the area!

We were big fans of Ellie’s before the transition to Astra, and honestly, not much has changed other than the name — which is a good thing. We had reservations for Mother’s Day brunch at Astra inside the HALL Arts Hotel, and despite the weather trying to derail things, the team absolutely delivered. Our party of 8 was originally supposed to sit outside, but the rain had other plans. The staff quickly came to the rescue and moved us to a private table in the back that turned out to be perfect. My 3-year-old grandson had room to play, and our family could actually hear each other and enjoy the moment together. The management team specifically assigned John Passarella to our table, and he was outstanding. Our gentle giant, was professional, attentive, kind, and completely on top of everything during what was clearly a very busy and chaotic brunch service. He especially made sure my mother-in-law was well taken care of, which meant a lot to our family. Overall, it was a crazy day for the restaurant, but the team — and especially John — made the experience memorable. Four hours later, we left full, happy, and grateful for such a great Mother’s Day celebration.
