For how close it is to Houston, it’s quite a sweet place to tuck away for the afternoon and breathe some fresh air, while the kiddos run around. Not a camper whatsoever, so brought all food cooked from home, but it does look like they offer a handful of cabins and camping options worth looking into. Again, for how close it is, the convenience of this reset is worth to know about.

This place is completely uninteresting, and to make matters worse, there were homeless people sitting on a bench near the entrance. Don't waste your time on this place.
Nice historic park with transplanted homesteads & old cabin.
