I stayed here for 1 week and plan to return at my next opportunity. The house is immaculate, quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend staying here. The house managers were friendly and professional and make the house welcoming and safe for all. If you are looking for a calm, quiet, safe and luxurious place to stay then this is definitely the place to go. They have 2 longboards and 2 bikes available to use and an amazing bike pathway right out front.
Going on my second night here... The host are cool and they keep things organized and in order. The quiet space rules are respected by all. Excellent place to vaction/work when need be. Guest are from all over the globe doing great thing. Great experience. UPDATE: stayed 7days total, a very peaceful. Will def book again when on a solo trip.

This business caused a lot of difficulty for me and my daughter. She was waiting for another hostel to open up for a longer term rental, and needed a place to stay for a couple of nights. As a result of the incompetence of Stay Open, however, she ended up with all of her things outside at 5PM and not having a place to go. I had booked the bed through Booking.com. After receiving notifications that the booking was all set, they suddently cancelled it. The stated reason was unclear. Something about multiple names being used? Their website had NO PHONE NUMBER. Red flag #1. I had to write them via Booking.com and the next day received a call back from a "David," presumably the owner. He stated they don't allow people to make reservations for others. Yet his website and Booking.com listing fail to communicate that. Moreover, Booking.com offers a box to tick stating that this reservation is for another person, with a place to put in the name, which I did! When I told David this, he said essentially said that's Booking.com's (and apparently my) problem. David also said something about various names and credit card numbers being used for the reservation. My name has been the same for 67 years and the name on my credit card has been the same since I started using credit cards in my 20s. My daughter does have a nickname, which I put right after her first name name in parenthese, inside the box provided by Booking.com for when one person is booking for another. David could have called or written to me to resolve the issue, but instead he just cancelled the reservation, with no regard for how it affected us. To add insult to injury, I still have a charge on my credit card from them. David's excuse: it's "automatic" and banks take time to return the money. Double insult to injury: after all his nonsense excuses, he had the nerve to tell me we can't make reservations with them again. Is he kidding? I have to wonder which business school he went to where insulting customers is considered a good idea. I would never recommend this business to anyone, and I'd be wary of Booking.com too, as they obviously list any business they can get, with no vetting.
I could not ask for a better place to stay in LA. It's right on the beach, the staff are incredibly helpful, there is a coworking space, amazing people to chat with in the evenings, delicious coffee, bikes, towels- everything. I haven't stayed in a more friendly, convenient and top-notch location place! I recommend 10/10. The pods make sure you can really get your sleep while enjoying the benefit of being around other travelers.
stayed at this hostel in Venice Beach and honestly had a great experience. As a solo female traveler visiting for the first time, I felt completely safe, even though I’d initially been nervous after hearing there were a lot of homeless people in the area—they really kept to themselves. The location is perfect, with everything within walking distance. The sleeping pods were incredibly comfortable, and I slept so well. The people I met were so friendly and welcoming. I truly had a blast, and I’m leaving with a bit of nostalgia for the amazing memories made here. I would definitely stay again.
